Xerox at the On-Demand Show: Improving the Xerox iGen3
Despite the shift from New York City to Philadelphia, the AIIM/On Demand Conference and Exhibition on May 17 remains the center of the copying universe. The latest product innovations for the copier industry were on display from Xerox, as upgrades for the Xerox iGen3 and Xerox 8000 were touted. The Xerox DocuColor 7o00 was also rolled out as Xerox continues to agressively pursue the high volume, color copier market.
A Little Shine Never Hurts
The Xerox iGen 3 received a new coater, the Epic CTI-635. The new inline coater attaches to the iGen 3 and allows customers to keep the printing process completely digital. It improves glossy finishes on items such as postcards and menus.
It's Not How You Start, It's How You Finish
As the demand for professionally bound manuals and booklets has skyrocketed, Xerox is attempting to offer an automated solution that provides finished booklets and manuals. The Horizons 8000 ColorWorks Booklet Maker is compatible with the Xerox 7000 and Xerox 8000. The Booklet maker gives consumers the chance to produce high volumes of booklets in a reduced amount of time.
Have You Met the Xerox DocuColor 7000 ?
One of the hits of the AIIM/On Demand Conference was the Xerox DocuColor 7000. At 70 pages per minute, the Xerox 7000 falls right between between the Xerox 2045 and Xerox iGen3. Xerox is attempting to capture consumers at all ends of the digital color market.
