The Xerox 4590 Copier/Printer is suited for both high-volume departmental and light production.

Xerox 4590 scanning has the following features:

Quality:
a) Outstanding reproduction of text, graphics and photos because of 600 x 600 dpi.
b) Images can be condensed or enlarged from 25 to 400%.
c) 8-bit grayscale gives you one of a kind gray level representation of both black and white and color documents.

Speed:
With dual scan heads, the Xerox 4590's scanner captures both sides of a document in one pass. 100ipm scanning is maintained irrespective of whether the documents are simplex or duplex.

Scan Path:
The scan path can be either from the platen or from the ADH (Automatic Document Handler).
a) Platen: All types and sizes of documents (even as big as 11'' x 17''/A3) can be scanned.
b) ADH: Heavy duty jobs (like from 1 to 250 sheets), can be scanned through the ADH for unbelievable ease of operation.

Scan-to destination:
a) Scanned documents can be stored as PDF, TIFF or Multi-page TIFF on the hard drive for reprinting later. Scanned document settings are saved as reusable job templates.
b) Scanned documents can be sent as e-mail attachments to an address, sent to any Xerox 4590 selectable mailbox where they can be recalled later for printing and electronic distribution. They can also be sent directly to an FTP/SMB server.
